Nana,
Our hearts are filled with joy and pain. Joy- for you are with your heavenly father, pain- you're not physically in our presence. Throughout our entire life you have been our "Mother, Father, Grandfather and above all our precious "Nana". Words cannot describe the void in all of our hearts; not being able to call or see you hasn't even begun to seem real as of yet...although in the natural it will never be. Know you will live within us and all of our children and their children. We will let all know how pure of heart a woman you were. Nana you will be truly missed and never forgotten. We love you with all our heart and soul..we'll be together again someday. Love and miss you so much your granddaughter, Missy.

My condolences goes out to the whole family. I have so many great memories growing up with Nana and the family. Though this is a sad time it is also a time to thank God for the life and the impact Nana has given us all. Be encouraged, for Nana is resting safe in His arms.

We send our sympathy. I did not know Aunt Ruth very well, but oh boy her grandchildren--always happy & caring with beautiful smiles, full of energy, and always polite mixed with a few drops of mischief. Such children had to have a wonderful grandmother! We pray that your family's pain lessen with each passing day. 'Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous.' -1 Peter 3:8

I extend my deepest sympathy to Mark, Susan and the entire Kirksey family on your loss. Nana was a very sweet and special lady. She was a very dear friend to my late Mother. I can remember over the years how they talked almost daily over the phone.
My prayer is that God will comfort and give peace to you during this time!!!

Nana will be greatly missed by all. She had a wealth of knowledge stored up...you could pick up the phone and ask her where to find any scripture and she would be able to tell you. Love and prayers go out to all the family.

I want to give my condolences to the family of Mother Ruth (Nana) Kirksey. Nana was so dear to all of us here in our community. When I was a yound child I lived on Union Street across from her. She has always made me feel like one of the family. Even at a young age I knew that Nana was a special lady! I just visited with a few weeks before and she was sitting in her bedroom chair looking good. She wasn't even using the oxygen that day. We talked about "family" and how blessed she was to have such a loving & caring family. To her daughter, Susan and to all her grandchildren, I always wished that I had a mother & a grandmother like Nana. You all have been so blessed. I know that the entire family will miss her. She was one of a kind! But, now she is where she longed to be. There in Paradise. And I know that she is just smiling and waiting til the time that she will welcome all of you there with her. If there is anything that I can do to ease your pain, please let me know. My # is 354-3013. Evon
