Sandra Kay (Wakeland) Southworth

   Sandra Kay Southworth, 52, of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1964 in Columbus, a daughter of Mary Ferrell Landis of Farmington, KY and the late David Maurice Wakeland.

   Sandy was a graduate of Osceola (FL) High School and she was a Christian. She had worked in medical records at SOMC and at home for over 25 years.

   Sandy lived her life for her family and she was their rock. She was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother.

   Surviving is her husband of 35 years, Randall Scott Southworth, whom she married December 26, 1981 in Lucasville; her daughter, Kristine Southworth of Portsmouth; two siblings, David (Sheila) Landis of Farmington, KY and Karen (Randy) Grider of Chillicothe; three grandchildren, Madisen Diaz, Aiden Ball and Zane Ball.; her stepfather, Dave Landis; and several nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. John Gowdy officiating and interment in Memorial Burial Park.

   The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
