Sonja Kay (Lewis) Lewis

   Sonja Kay Lewis, 79, of Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her home. She was born May 13, 1937 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Stanley Ketchell and Virginia Cook Lewis.
   Sonja was the cashier at the Portsmouth High School cafeteria for 29 years and she was of the Baptist faith.
   Surviving are three sons, Steven (Tina) Fugitt of Columbus, Lee Fugitt of Portsmouth, and Kenny (Carol) Fugitt of West Portsmouth; two daughters, Karen Hedrick of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Cecilia (Richard) Cantrell of Portsmouth; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
   In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her former husband, Elmer Lawrence “Jiggs” Kamer on February 21, 2017; her daughter, Sharon Layne Ratcliff; and a brother, Stanley Ketchell (Keck) Lewis II.
   Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, May 9 at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Reverend Pete Michael officiating.
  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday.
