Terrell Juarez “TJ” Johnson, 28, of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at his home. He was born June 13, 1989 in Portsmouth, a son of Wanda Kay Malone and Wayne Dennis Johnson.
TJ attended Portsmouth High School and played football from his pee-wee years to high school for the Trojans. He enjoyed fishing and had a great passion for music and was always rapping, clapping and making up his own new beat. A great father, he and his daughter enjoyed special “Daddy/Daughter Days” each Friday.
Surviving are his parents, Wanda Kay Malone of Galloway and Wayne Dennis (Kim) Johnson of Portsmouth; his soul mate, Danielle Marie Taylor of Portsmouth; a daughter, Aviahna Taylynn Johnson, at home; six brothers, Mike (Kathy) Malone of Portsmouth, Brent (Kokisha Lewis) Malone of Cincinnati, Dennis Johnson of Kansas City, MO, AJ (Amber Spriggs) Johnson of Columbus, Devonte and Stefan Johnson, both of Portsmouth; six sisters, Juana (Vincent) Johnson-Burton of Galloway, Tiana, Takisha and Amber Johnson, all of Columbus, Monik Johnson of Galloway and Shontay (Draigo) Boone of Columbus.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kingdom Builders Evangelistic Outreach Ministries with Elder David Malone officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
