Obituary
Anita Jean Puckett, 64, of Columbus, passed away on August 3, 2023, at her home. She was born November 20, 1958, in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late John James and Betty Jean Williams Puckett.
Anita retired from the OSU Medical Center where she had worked as a respiratory therapist. She graduated from the Columbus State College of Respiratory Therapy and from Portsmouth High School in the Class of 1977. Anita loved hiking and walking in the outdoors, spending time with her many friends, and cheering on the Buckeyes.
Surviving are her siblings, David Wayne Puckett of Cincinnati and Suellen (Paul) Puckett Simpson of Portsmouth; niece and nephews, Rebecca, Matthew and Jon Simpson; and great nieces and nephews, Keegen Newman, Paija Harp, and Jaxin and Amira Simpson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, August 19, at Christ’s Community Church in Portsmouth under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the church from 11 A.M. until the service hour.
