David Jason Lykins

   David Jason Lykins, 42, of New Orleans, LA, passed away June 12, 2012, at his home. He was born March 5, 1979 in Portsmouth, a son of Stephen Farrell Lykins of Jackson and the late Beverly Jean Charles Lykins.

   David was a 1997 Portsmouth High School graduate and he had attended Coastal Carolina University. He was a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints.

   In addition to his father, David is survived by his sister, Jennifer Lynn (Chris) Souders of Oak Hill; and his maternal grandmother, Freda Ruth Charles of West Portsmouth.

   A Memorial Service will be held at 10 A.M. Friday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. John Gowdy officiating and interment in Berea Chapel Cemetery.
