Glenna (Hall) Bittner

   Glenna Hall Bittner, 75, of Palmerton, PA, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, at The Palmerton. She was born on February 24, 1948, in Portsmouth, OH, the daughter of the late Floyd Wilford and Vera Vaughdene Hilliard Hall.

   Glenna graduated from PHS in 1966, and worked in retail positions until December 1982. In January 1983, she entered Police Standards at Polk Community College. After 10 years of service as a Deputy Sheriff, she retired in 1993. Following three years of retirement, Glenna went to work for Mannco Enterprises as the office manager.

   She is survived by daughter, Diane (Rick) Apple of Albrightsville, PA; two grandsons, Christopher (Brittany) Apple and Kyle (Kayla) Apple; siblings, Phillip W. Hall of Willisburg, KY, Hugh E. Hall of Portsmouth, Sandra Barnhart of Haines City, FL and Donna Bartram of Columbus.

   A brother, Vaughn E. Hall, also preceded her in death.

   There are to be no services. Private burial will be in Rushtown Cemetery under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
