Helen 'Cathy' Catherine (Wright) Noles

Catherine Helen Noles, 72, of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully at Buckeye Forest at Rosemount Pavilion on Friday, May 23, 2025. Cathy was born on July 24, 1952, in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Emery Mullins and Alma Beulah Cox Wright.

   Cathy attended Rubyville Community Church, and she had worked at Star Workshop. She enjoyed all the activities at Buckeye Forest, especially bingo and arts & crafts. Cathy also loved music and Elvis Presley.

   On October 15, 1988, she married Gary Mitchell Noles in Portsmouth. The couple had been married for 18 years at the time of his death on March 9, 2007.

   Surviving are three siblings, Thomas Wright of Chapin, SC, James Mullins of Lucasville, and Donna Mullins Daniel of Lucasville; sister-in-law, Sherry Wright of Portsmouth; brother-in-law, Ron Grigsby of Inman, SC; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

   Also preceding her in death was the stepfather who reared her, Dewey Wright, Jr.; three siblings, Beecher E. Wright, Lisa Tackett and Betty Wright Grigsby.

   Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Pastor Dr. Calvin Ray Evans and Pastor Brian Baer officiating. The interment will be in Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY.
