   Jaime Kristen “Kris” Sinclair, 43, of Del Valle, TX, a Portsmouth native, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at her home.  She was born to April 8, 1979, in Portsmouth to James G. and Sandra D. Newman Sinclair, who survive.

   Kris attended Ohio University–Ironton and completed real estate coursework at Hondros College in Columbus. She worked as an assistant at Sinclair Real Estate and had been an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church prior to moving from the area. Kris graduated from Clay High School on 1997.

   Surviving her are two sons, Alexander Shortridge and Andrew Shortridge, both of Portsmouth; her parents, James G. Sinclair of Rosemount and Sandra D. Sinclair of Wheelersburg; two siblings, Jan-Michael (Bryan) Doerr of Wheelersburg and James Jonathan (Nicole) Sinclair of Rosemount; and six nephews, Taylor, Casey, Sam and Jack Doerr and London and Grant Sinclair.

   Kris was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Carl & Marjorie Newman; and paternal grandparents, James Sinclair and Lucille Sinclair (John) Linkous.

   The Gathering of Friends and Family will be held Tuesday, November 29 from 4 to 6 P.M. under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
