Janine Ruth Morris

   Janine Ruth Morris, 65, of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the SOMC Hospice Center. She was born June 23, 1956 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late David S. Morris and Ruth E. Lockhart Morris, who survives.

   After graduating from South Webster High School in 1974, Janine attended David Lipscomb University and then graduated from the Ohio State University School of Nursing and subsequently enjoyed a 40-year career as a registered nurse. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, cutting grass, swimming and especially being a doting aunt. Janine was a member of the Sunshine Church of Christ in Minford.

   She is survived by her mother, Ruth Morris, of Wheelersburg; her sister, Jill Williams and her husband, Steve, of Sciotoville; her nephew, Samuel (Shelby) Williams of Ironton; and her niece, Dr. Jenny (Aaron) White of Akron.

   Also preceding her in death was her brother, Johnathan D. Morris.

   Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Jason Coriell officiating and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

   The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour Saturday.
