Jeanette Polley, 89, of Apple Valley, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, November 15, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeanette retired from Southern Ohio Medical Center where she was supervisor in the billing department. Preceding her in death was her mother, Dorothy Wilcox Shaw, and a nephew Michael Feazell.
Surviving is the love of her life for 75 years, Ernest Russell Polley; sisters, Glenda Mack of Cincinnati and Katherine (Fred) Sammons of Hennepin, IL; loving and devoted children, Susan (Donald) Jones of Apple Valley and Phillip (Kim) Polley of Winchester, KY; much-loved grandchildren, Brett (Tracy) Jones, Shane (Terecia) Polley, Leslie (Eric) Anderson, Stacy (Brian) Eury, Missy (Bradley) Hardy and Lindsey Polley; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb Polley, Kaitlynn (Ian) Rawdon, Emily Jones, Tyler Rose Anderson. Allie Eury, Scott Eury, Colt Hardy and Bo Hardy; and a great-great-grandson, Graham Rawdon, all of whom brought her much joy. Many other family members and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Sunday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Perry Prosch officiating and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 to 8 P.M. and one hour prior to services Sunday.
