Jeffery Wayne Towell

   Jeffery Wayne Towell, 67, of Wheelersburg, passed away at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY, on Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was born on June 5, 1958, in Portsmouth, the son of Elwood Horace Towell and Betty June Riffe Culp.

   A 1978 graduate of Glenwood High School, Jeff was a retired private-duty nurse’s aid. He enjoyed old western movies, especially those with John Wayne, and he had attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

  Surviving is his wife, Kimberly Anne Martin Towell, whom he married on March 16, 1998, in Greenup, KY; and his beloved dog, Benji.

   In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his stepfather, Frederick Gordan Culp; and dogs, Bubby and Sissy.

   Private burial will be in Williams Hill Cemetery in Lawrence County under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
