Jeffrey Ahmed Josey

Jeffrey Ahmed Josey, 47, of Portsmouth, passed away at Southern Ohio Medical Center on Saturday, January 13, 2024. He was born December 29, 1976, in San Antonio, TX, a son of the late Dr. Willie Leroy Josey and Elaine Herron of San Antonio, TX.

   Jeffrey had worked for nine years in housekeeping at Portsmouth Health & Rehab and formerly worked in housekeeping for 17 years at SOMC. A 1995 Portsmouth High School graduate, he had attended Columbus State Community College and the former Southeastern Business College.

   In addition to his mother, Elaine Herron, Jeffrey is survived by his beloved stepmother, Carmen W. Robinson Josey of Clemmons, NC; two sons, Jeffrey A. Josey, Jr. and Jadan Marcus Josey, both of Portsmouth; a daughter, Cicily S. Josey of Piketon; four siblings, Joel Robinson of Albuquerque, NM, Jamar Alexander of Portsmouth, Julianna Marie Josey-Smith of Atlanta, GA and LaDonna Monique Josey of Clemmons, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

   In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by siblings, Dale Robinson. Leroy A. Josey, Anna-Alicia Josey and infant twins; and paternal grandparents, Manning and Georgia Mae Josey, Sr.

   Funeral Services with Facebook Live Stream will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Richard Jordan officiating. To join the Live Stream, please visit the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home Facebook page at 1:00 P.M.
