Johnna Lucille Cox

   Johnna Lucille Cox, 52, of Portsmouth, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Buckeye Forest at Portsmouth Pavilion with family by her side. Johnna was born in Portsmouth on September 14, 1972, to the late Barbara Mary Webb Cox.

   Johnna loved music and one-on-one time with the people whom she loved, and who cared for her. She had a serious ornery streak and lived a very happy life. She graduated from the former Happy Hearts School.

   Surviving are her six siblings, Kern Cameron Cox of New Boston, Warren Reed (Connie) Cox and Samuel Frederick Cox, all of Columbus, Michael Eugene Cox of Portsmouth, Mary Beth Cox of West Portsmouth, and Erin Susanne (Shawn) Cox of Chillicothe; a special niece, Jennifer Clay of West Portsmouth; many nieces, nephews and their families; and her beloved caregivers at Bernita Corporation, Buckeye Forest and SOMC Hospice.

   In addition to her mother, Johnna was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jean “Barbie” Cox.

   A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Dennis Dawes, Minister, officiating.

   The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
