   Julie Kay Johnson, 50, of Portsmouth, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at SOMC. She was born on November 12, 1974, in Beckley, WV, to the late Sandy Lea Casey Hanes, her mother..

   Julie attended Portsmouth City Schools, was a homemaker and loved to sing and dance, cook with family and enjoy family festivities in the summer.

   Surviving is her father, Keith Pop of Huntington, WV; her daughter, Kaddereanna K.L. Hammar of Chillicothe; four granddaughters; a sister, Stephine L. Llewelyn of Minford; her maternal grandmother, Margaret Ellen Bailey Green of Portsmouth; her three half sisters, Crystalla Alter of Milan, TN, Jennifer and Tessa Popp of MI; and her half brother, Wesley Popp of Middleton, TN.

    There are to be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
