Laura Leigh Brown, 65, of Portsmouth, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at Buckeye Forest at Rosemount Pavilion. She was born July 6, 1958, in Portsmouth, OH, the daughter of the late Raymond Claude Boldman and Eleanor Jean Fite Sherick.
Laura, a 1977 graduate of Portsmouth Notre Dame High School, was a homemaker, devoted wife, and beloved mother and friend.
Surviving is her daughter, Jennifer Eleanor Brown of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Ayanna Leigh Goines and Ania LaShay Payne; and best friend, Anita Conley, of Portsmouth.
Laura was preceded in death on September 15, 2003, by her husband Woodrow Wilson “Woody” Brown Jr., whom she married on April 14, 1978, in Elyria. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Barry Boldman; and stepfather, Victor Sherrick.
A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Pastor Brian Holbrook officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Friday.
