Leonard Mack “Lenny” Shaw, Jr. 70, of Lucasville, passed away at home with his family by his side on Friday, June 19, 2026. Leonard was born on February 12, 1956, in Portsmouth, to the late Leonard Mack “Nick” and Flora Ellen “Flo” Rowland Shaw.
A 1974 Portsmouth High School graduate, Lenny attended the Ohio State University and Ohio University before working as a commercial roofing inspector and manager. He was the former owner of Advanced Roofing of Myrtle Beach, SC. He had also been a licensed cosmetologist, having studied at Paramount Beauty Academy. Lenny enjoyed softball, bowling, fishing, and gardening, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
Surviving is his partner of 19 years, Darrell Waddle; three sisters, Barbara Porginski of Portsmouth, Judith Bennett of Chillicothe, and Lenora Bernardo of Portsmouth; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.
A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026, in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY, with family sharing stories of Lenny’s life. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
Those wishing to attend the service may gather at the funeral home no later than 10:30 A.M. on Friday to process to the cemetery.
