Marsha Gay Hurley, 60, of Wheelersburg, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at SOMC. She was born January 6, 1962, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Wayne Harmon and Mildred Jean Reed Parsons.
Along with her husband, Paul, Marsha co-owned the family business, Hurley Electric. She devoted herself to her grandchildren and in her free time, she enjoyed crafting, cooking and decorating her home, which earned her the nickname “Marsha Stewart”. She was a 1980 graduate of Glenwood High School and Vo-Tech, where she studied food service and she was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is her husband of 42 years, Paul Allen Hurley, whom she married February 8, 1980, in Portsmouth; two daughters, Amanda Jean (Kevin) Eller and Ashley Marie (Aaron) Musser, all of Wheelersburg; two siblings, Robin Clarke of Covington, KY and Steve Parsons of Wheelersburg; and four grandchildren, Laney Eller, Olivia Eller, Avery Musser and Ace Musser.
In addition to her parents, Marsha was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Timothy and Robert Parsons.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Pastor Mike Musser officiating. Private interment will be in Quillen Cemetery in Greenup County, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.
