Pamela Sue Burchett, 60, of Portsmouth, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at SOMC Hospice. She was born January 4, 1960, a daughter of the late William Arthur and Jo-Ann Shively Fields.
Pam was a member of Christ's Brethren Church and a 1979 Clay High School graduate. She was a nurse's aid for several area nursing facilities and home health care agencies, including Greenbriar Nursing Home, Scioto Residential Services and Advantage Home Health Care. She enjoyed her work and being able to provide for her family, whom she always put first.
Surviving are her children, April (Aaron) Burchett of Minford and Robert "Bob" (Amanda) Waughtel of Portsmouth; three siblings, Debra (Keith) Blevins of West Portsmouth, William Shane Fields of Columbus and Teresa Fields of Huntington, WV; and five grandchildren, Alyvia Waughtel, Daniel Burchett, Bailey Waughtel, Morgan Burchett and Logan Waughtel.
A granddaughter, Alex Waughtel, and a brother, William Arthur Fields, Jr. also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday at Christ's Brethren with Pastor Everett Martin officiating and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens
The family will receive friends at the church from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour. All who attend are asked to wear masks.
