Patricia Ann Osborn, 84, of Otway, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the SOMC Hospice Center. She was born on September 22, 1939, in Ottawa, Boone County, WV, the daughter of the late Lonard Lee and Edith Ousley Dolin.
Patricia was a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother for most of her life. She enjoyed puzzles, word searches and jewelry, and often hummed while perusing magazines and catalogs. A fan of The King, her rooms were decorated with all things Elvis Presley.
As a young woman, she left West Virginia to come to Scioto County where she met and fell in love with James Samuel Osborn, Sr. The couple wed on August 18, 1956, and had been married for 59 years at the time of his death on October 25, 2015.
Surviving is her daughter, Deborah Carver of Otway; two sisters, Priscilla (Charles) Osborn of Wilmington and Cynthia Sue Hancock of Lorain; seven grandchildren, Alisha (Adam) Colley, Brett (Angie) Osborn, Julie (Bobby) Vallandingham, Ricky (Shena) Carver, Dylan (Courtney) Osborn, Breanna (Britton) Aldridge and Devan Osborn; 14 great-grandchildren, Mariah, Brandon, M.J., Hunter, Cheyenne, Baylee, Caydon, Alayna, Xander, Braylen, Bryson, Brynlen, Ryleigh and Reed; one great-great-granddaughter, Kinsley; a daughter-in-law, Kim Osborn; her special friend, Diann Enz; and several nieces, nephews and their families.
Pat was also preceded in death by her two sons, James S. “Junior” Osborn, Jr., and Brian E. Osborn; six brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, Nicholas R. Carver.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Scioto Burial Park with Pastor Duane Knittel officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
