Sandy Lea (Casey) Hanes

   Sandy Lea Hanes, 68, of New Boston, passed away on February 18, 2025, at her home. She was born on June 3, 1956, in Boyd County, KY, a daughter of Margaret Ellen Bailey Green, who survives, and the late John Ansel Casey.

   Sandy formerly attended Central Church of Christ.

   Surviving are her daughters, Stephine Lynn Llewellyn of Minford and Julie Kay Johnson of Portsmouth; her mother, Margaret Ellen Green of Portsmouth; a sister, Johnnie Manchester of Portsmouth; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

   A Memorial Service will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home Portsmouth with Pastor George Vastine officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

   The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
