Sharay Nicole Martin

   Sharay Nicole Martin, 40, of Cincinnati, a former Portsmouth resident, passed away Sat. November 23, 2019 at her home. She was born June 25, 1979 in Portsmouth, a daughter of Theresa Louise Martin of Cincinnati and Tim Johnson of Portsmouth.

   Sharay attended Portsmouth City Schools and Cincinnati Technical and Community College. She was currently working as a server at Joe’s Crab Shack in Bellevue, KY.

   Surviving are her parents; three sons, Shauntavian (Brooklyn Elliot) Martin and DeShaun Martin, all of Waverly, Omarian Martin of Portsmouth; one daughter, Tyarra Nicole (Ray Long) Barnes of Cincinnati; three brothers, Ralph Thompson of Cincinnati, and Russ (Jackie) Oglesby and Irwan Martin, all of Portsmouth; a sister, Savannah Johnson of Talladega, AL; her maternal grandmother, Clarice Pleasant of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Greyson Martin, Aa’Layla and Lauryn Long; and three aunts, Lolita Johnson, Alicia and Freda Martin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

   Sharay was preceded in death by a sister, Mia Thompson.

   Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Bell officiating.

   The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral Saturday.
