Wanda Sue Callihan, 64, of South Shore, KY, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. She was born on July 18, 1959, in Ashland, KY, the daughter of the late John Bruce and Wanda Lee Dickerson Maynard.
Sue was a 1977 graduate of South Webster High School and she was a Christian. While illness prevented her from attending church in the recent past, she rededicated her life to Christ during a recent stay in the hospital. Sue was a homemaker and had worked as an aide in area nursing homes.
She enjoyed reading and passing her leisure time by knitting, crocheting, coloring, and watching movies.
Surviving are her two children, John Brandon (Christy Lynn) Callihan of Wheelersburg and Mason (Benji Rhodes) Callihan of South Shore, KY; her brother, Rome (Shelly) Maynard of Greenville, SC; and three grandchildren, Keri Lynn (Kenny Dickess) Callihan, Sierra Nicole (Ethan) Carpenter, and Katelynn Marie Callihan.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Calvin Ray Evans and Rev. Brian Bear officiating. The interment will be in Scioto Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the funeral hour.
