Venieca Lynn (Diller) James

   Venieca Lynn James, 65, of Portsmouth, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at SOMC. She was born June 3, 1959, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Virgil Lee and Betty Ruth Ackerman Diller.

   Venieca was a 1977 Portsmouth High School graduate and a former nurse’s aide at Bridgeport 360. She enjoyed visiting friends and spending time with family, especially the children of her niece, Jennifer.

   Also preceding her in death were her husbands, Michael Gillium and Harold Thomas James; and her brother, Mark S. Diller.

   Surviving are two brothers, Randall (Terry) Diller of Bucyrus, and Virgil L. (Wendy) Diller of Portsmouth; and eight nieces & nephews, Randy Diller, Jr., Amanda Lee Diller, Jessica Marie Rossington, Virgil Lee Diller, Douglas Keith Diller, Crystal Dawn McKenzie, Angela Suelynn Diller, and Jennifer Diller.

   A Memorial Service will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Pastor Randy Diller, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.

   The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
