Helen Mae Royal, 80, of Portsmouth, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. She was born July 1, 1939 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Wallace Truxton and Lillian Ida Ethel Urick Crull.
Helen was a homemaker and member of the Portsmouth Eagles Auxiliary.
Her husband Thomas Rodney Royal preceded her in death April 21, 2016. The couple were married January 4, 2007 in Greenup, KY.
Surviving are two sons, Robert D. Lemaster, Jr. of Portsmouth and Anthony W. Lemaster of Lucasville; two daughters, Janice A. (Carl) Poling of Portsmouth and Brenda Annette Fletcher of McDermott; six sisters, Kay Tragdon of Piketon, Janet Castle and Gail Pickleseimer, both of Lucasville, Ann King of Portsmouth, Judy Morrison of Saginaw, MI and Mary Alice Kaltenbach of South Webster; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Scott D. Lemaster; and four sisters, Inez Charles, Emily Hileman, Betty Glanton and Patty Ober.
A Celebration of Helen's life will be held at 1 P.M. Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Portsmouth Eagles, 1630 Gallia Street.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
