Just a note....
COVID-19 has us all concerned. Social distancing, hand washing and other good, common sense practices, should be practiced to stay healthy.
The Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home is staying current with all communication from the CDC (Centers of Disease Control), NFDA (National Funeral Directors Association) and OFDA (Ohio Funeral Directors Association).
The directives on how many persons are allowed to gather at one time and place are frequently being adjusted. Should you find yourself facing the dilemma about attending a viewing or funeral, please take into consideration your personal current health situation. Are you robust and healthy, or are you immunosuppressed? In the end, you must make the choice.
While the coronavirus pandemic is still a threat, we will ask visitors to the funeral home to refrain from touching, hugging and kissing. If you arrive with an obvious cough, you may be kindly asked to leave. It's hard, but we have to do what is best for all.
We are taking steps to keep you safe by extra cleaning and an ample supply of hand sanitizers and soap.
Stay well friends!
Dawn Scott, CFSP & Ralph F. Scott II
Welcome to the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth, Ohio. We are a family owned business, celebrating our 101st year of serving the people of beautiful Southern Ohio. In 2022, the original and historic part of our building marks it's 111th anniversary.
The owners, both funeral directors and embalmers, are the father/daughter team of Ralph F. Scott II and Dawn Scott, CFSP.
