"Ray" Raymond Leonard Foster

   Raymond Leonard “Ray” Foster, 66, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. He was born March 3, 1951 in Cincinnati to the late Raymond and Evelyn Warren Harris Foster, Sr.

   Raymond was a former construction worker and he attended Christ Temple Apostolic Church. He also enjoyed preparing food for friends and was an excellent cook.

   He is survived by his children, Maurice L. (Linda) Foster and Dena T. (Danny) Gill, all of Cincinnati; a brother, Eli (Vernell) Lyle of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Karen Foster and Evelyn L. (John) Hennings of Cincinnati; a stepsister, Charlene (Raymond) Bishop of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren, Crystal Foster, Dorien, Danny and Danyea Gill; and many nieces and nephews.

   A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17 at Christ Temple with Pastor Marcus Bendolph officiating under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.

   The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
