Steven Virgil Hileman

   Steven Virgil Hileman, 55, of Portsmouth, passed away Friday, Nov.1, 2019 at his home. He was born March 4, 1964 in Portsmouth to the late Virgil Lee and Emily Jane Poston Hileman.

   Steve was a PHS graduate and a member of the Masonic order. He is a former employee of Lawrence-Scioto Solid Waste Management and he was a former deputy for the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.

   He is survived by a son, Brandon (Leah) Woodard of Fredericksburg, VA;  two brothers, Ed (JoAnn) Hileman of Wheelersburg and Tim (Teresa) Hileman of Portsmouth; one sister, Sandra (Bill) Jones of Maine; three grandchildren, Greyson, Elijah and Ezekiel Woodard; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.

   In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Whitney, Mary Myers and Pamela Jordan.

   The family will hold private services under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
