Cynthia Joanne (Lemons) Easter

   Cynthia Joanne “Cindy Jo” Easter, 63, of West Portsmouth, a longtime resident of Des Allemandes, LA, passed away at her home Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Cindy was born April 16, 1958, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late William Robert Lemons and Sandra Louise Fitch Lemons, who survives.

   A 1976 graduate of Wheelersburg High School, she was a sales associate at the New Boston Walmart and of the Methodist faith.

   Cindy Jo is survived by her husband of 43 years, Geoffrey Brent Easter. The couple was married December 31, 1977 in Wheelersburg.

   Also surviving is her mother, Sandra Lemons of Wheelersburg; two sons, Benjamin E. Easter, at home, and MA2 Andrew B. (Hikari) Easter, with the U.S. Navy in Japan; three daughters, Sarah E. (Lindsey Rhodes) Easter of Minford, Leigh Erin (Jared) Crochet of Paradis, LA and Megan A. Easter, at home; two brothers, William R. Lemons, Jr. of Wheelersburg and Alan (Carolyn) Lemons of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren, Cody, Chloe, Matthew & Austin Hebert, Troy & Marley Rhodes, Samantha & Ozzy Crochet, and Kenji Easter; two great-grandsons, Caesar Wallace and Mateo Jones; her mother-in-law, Marjorie Elizabeth Easter of Georgetown, TX; her sister-in-law, Candace (Anton) Kucera of Georgetown, TX; several nieces, nephews and their families; and her friends & co-workers at Walmart.

   Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Greg Carter officiating and interment in Sandy Springs Cemetery in Adams County. The family will receive visitors from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour Monday.
