Michael David McHenry

   Michael David McHenry, 68, of Portsmouth, passed away June 2, 2018 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1950 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Edward “Ed or Dude” and Lorraine “Rene” Underwood McHenry.

   A Protestant, Mike was a retired coal miner and truck driver. He graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1969.

   Surviving is his wife, Dianne Stidham McHenry, whom he married February 5, 1972 in Portsmouth; two sons, Aaron Michael (Cassie) McHenry of Chillicothe and Chad David (Sara) McHenry of Portsmouth; two brothers, Steve (Debbie) McHenry of Portsmouth and Larry (Suzanne) McHenry of Pittsburgh, PA; and five grandchildren, Ellie, Marci, Walker, Lily and Cambell McHenry.

   Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with the Rev. Evan D. Fisher officiating and interment in Memorial Burial Park.

   The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. The family requests no flowers; but instead, make a donation to the charity of your choice in Michael’s name.
