David Ronald Adams, 72, of Lucasville, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, February 18, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 21, 1939 in Portsmouth, a son of Ruth Estelle Canter Adams of Lucasville, and the late John Henry Adams.
David was a retired self-employed contractor, and a 1957 Clay High School graduate. He was a Christian, and a Navy veteran.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Sue Davis Adams, whom he married Sept. 21, 1963 in Portsmouth. Also surviving are three sons, Stuart L. (Susan) Adams of Sciotoville, Scott L. Adams, and John J. (Lori) Adams, all of Lucasville; a brother, Earl Daniel "Danny" (Karen) Adams of Lucasville; a sister, Paula R. (Raymond) Brumfield of Minford; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.

In honor of Mr. Adams service to our country, the flag of the U.S. Navy will fly Tuesday at the funeral home.
